SAN CLEMENTE, CA (July 21, 2021) - The San Clemente City Council voted 5-0 to approve a resolution in support of Spent Fuel Solutions, officially joining the coalition’s growing list of members. Spent Fuel Solutions was formed in March 2021 with the goal of encouraging the federal government to take action to facilitate an off-site solution for the spent fuel stored at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS). More than 120 local governments, elected officials, utilities, environmental groups, labor leaders, Native American leaders, business organizations and other community members currently serve as supporting members.
